  2. We are releasing a minor update today. Here are the main changes: Improved Setup Wizard Functionality: Enhancements in detecting system details during setup, with additional warnings and error messaging to help identify potential problems. Existing Data: The software now detects existing drive partitions during setup. If any exist, they will be flagged for your attention. Minor UI Improvements: A number of small user interface issues have been resolved to provide a smoother experience (eg. when scrolling through long content on larger displays, the detail panel will remain fixed and visible) You will receive these updates automatically on your next visit to the Command Deck. For those actively connected, there may be a brief moment of downtime to ensure everything is working correctly.

  4. Is there any sort of "download manager" where I can download files directly to a folder in HexOS? I have about 2TB of data in Microsoft OneDrive, and another 1TB in Google Drive that I want to transfer to HexOS for local storage. I know I could just download this to my computer, then manually move. But I'd rather a direct process, as I can see this as a recurring need. I do not want any sort of "sync", or data mirroring. I do not want to use Google Drive/OneDrive for this data anymore. Since its not a torrent, I cant use qBittorrent. So is there some similar download manager tool that I can install to HexOS (using the TrueNAS interface probably) where I can just put in a URL of a file, and it will download it to my NAS?

  5. @steakboy Use Rsync between local hosts, wget fur URL downloads and curl if you need more advanced protocol or API support. https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/difference-between-wget-vs-curl/ https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/rsync-command-in-linux-with-examples/?ref=header_outind

  9. The more I look into it, the more I have that same reaction "pain". 😂 A friend recommended a download manager on my desktop (Motrix) and just changing the download location to be directly the server instead of downloads folder.

  11. the update notification is a known bug. essentially there is an update for the underlying truenas system. at this time the hexos team has stated that you should not update and ignore the notification.

  12. at this moment you can make that pool via truenas ui as a one drive "stripe" pool however this causes hexos to freak out at the time and i wouldn't recommend it. i too am waiting for hexos to not freak out when adding one drive pools since i would like a single ssd to be my app drive The team is aware we want single drive pools and it will be coming in a future update. At this time there is no eta
