  1. HERE YOU GO
  2. I believe it you!
  3. @ulfn You can ask me (or any of the other Mods) to do it for you - just let me know what you'd like changed!
  4. Hi @gingerling Great content, thank you for sharing. I noticed on your posts that you cover "things you didn't know/understand" - please make sure and reach out here with your questions - we'd love to help make sure you get proper feedback!
  5. Hi @pirateben Thank you for your feedback! One question; what is a printer service? Also, I believe there are plan for a Buddy Backup solution at some point in the future.
  6. Active Directory is LDAP is poor disguise.
  7. Hi @Richj73 - Amazon sells reconditioned drives. Just be careful, test them as much as possible and use all available tools to get them as healthy as possible. Reconditioned drives are very high risk.
  8. I get it. I've lived in Central America and know how dodgy ISP's can be.
  9. This is the way. Stay plugged in and keep sharing you experiences!
  10. That is cray-cray. Super glad you got it sorted out but...dang....WTF starlink? 😆
  11. @ChrisAcrobat - User @ulfn is a SFF ninja - he may be able to give you some feedback!
  12. @gohaun I LOVE Ventoy but Balena is the recommended ISO loader
  13. @ViktorMizzael - That is uniquely strange behavior. I'd really look into what is going on with your router (assuming it is using DHCP to assign IP address's and that is why it keeps changing) In the interim, can you statically set the IP of your device in your router in an attempt to prevent the IP from changing? At a minimum, I'd check if there are either router updates or other settings that could be causing IP to change like that...never heard of that happening. Lemme know what happens.
  14. It's a made up word that is easily understood to be "messed up" or, more plainly, "made a big mistake". Another reason it can be funny is it is similar to the name of the bad guy in "Back to the Future"
  15. That's not naive at all. Like you say, both points are valid from certain perspectives. On one hand, I would LOVE to see more "hey this is what we're up too" type of posts. On the other, for the sake of stability, I'd rather the dev team keep heads-down and crank out solid, well tested functionality that can be relied upon. So, I do see it both ways. However, I CAN share with you that the HexOS team is committed to increasing comms. It's bit of a double-edged sword, right? You don't want to put yourself on the hook for something unless you a SUPER sure it'll land as intended but you also want to keep folk engaged and I know that the HexOS team is working at just that. So, hang in there...realize this is the long game and respect for your patience thus far!
  16. lol...he said "biffed"
  17. What does this mean? Three different IP addresses?
  18. Welcome @beardedbrewer!!
  19. It happens and welcome to HexOS!
  20. @temp_user I recommend using the email account you used during registration. How long ago did you use the contact form and which email address did you use - the one you used at registration or the email you used for this "temp_user" account?
  21. @CrimsonBlade104 If you were willing to use all new drives to expand the existing pool capacity, that could work. But is sounds like the easiest path for you, especially since you have relatively small pool, would be to back up with the drive capacity/quantity you think will best serve your needs over time. Good luck!
  22. My mans got a back up propane genny???? Link pease!!
  23. Added this to our DIRECTORY OF GUIDES.
