  1. Correct. I'll kick one off here and reply with the error.
  2. @alfasierraalfa Yeah, slow and easy with an eye for re0-installation is the path I've taken as well. I'm waiting for official raidz2 support so only throwing things on my NAS that if I had to loose, I can always recover. How are those re-furb disks working for you?
  3. Three devices, same network. Laptop, router, NAS. NAS connected to router via ethernet, lappy is wireless. When I DL a Linux ISO from my laptop (via local torrenting software) and direct the file to be written to a directory on the NAS, it almost always fails. I say almost because I think it's worked once or twice but at the time was attempting to solve other issues. Every other time it errors out. I can attempt to recreate to share the error, but is there something fundamental that I am missing that would prevent me from doing this?
  4. So far no complaints, I am very happy with the WTR Pro. If they come out with a 6 bay option I will very likely buy that too as the performacne meets my needs well. Good luck @Insanittyx!!
  5. I believe it you!
  6. @ulfn You can ask me (or any of the other Mods) to do it for you - just let me know what you'd like changed!
  7. Hi @gingerling Great content, thank you for sharing. I noticed on your posts that you cover "things you didn't know/understand" - please make sure and reach out here with your questions - we'd love to help make sure you get proper feedback!
  8. Hi @pirateben Thank you for your feedback! One question; what is a printer service? Also, I believe there are plan for a Buddy Backup solution at some point in the future.
  9. Active Directory is LDAP is poor disguise.
  10. Hi @Richj73 - Amazon sells reconditioned drives. Just be careful, test them as much as possible and use all available tools to get them as healthy as possible. Reconditioned drives are very high risk.
  11. I get it. I've lived in Central America and know how dodgy ISP's can be.
  12. That is cray-cray. Super glad you got it sorted out but...dang....WTF starlink? 😆
  13. @ChrisAcrobat - User @ulfn is a SFF ninja - he may be able to give you some feedback!
  14. @gohaun I LOVE Ventoy but Balena is the recommended ISO loader
  15. @ViktorMizzael - That is uniquely strange behavior. I'd really look into what is going on with your router (assuming it is using DHCP to assign IP address's and that is why it keeps changing) In the interim, can you statically set the IP of your device in your router in an attempt to prevent the IP from changing? At a minimum, I'd check if there are either router updates or other settings that could be causing IP to change like that...never heard of that happening. Lemme know what happens.
  16. It's a made up word that is easily understood to be "messed up" or, more plainly, "made a big mistake". Another reason it can be funny is it is similar to the name of the bad guy in "Back to the Future"
  17. lol...he said "biffed"
  18. What does this mean? Three different IP addresses?
  19. It happens and welcome to HexOS!
  20. @temp_user I recommend using the email account you used during registration. How long ago did you use the contact form and which email address did you use - the one you used at registration or the email you used for this "temp_user" account?
  21. @CrimsonBlade104 If you were willing to use all new drives to expand the existing pool capacity, that could work. But is sounds like the easiest path for you, especially since you have relatively small pool, would be to back up with the drive capacity/quantity you think will best serve your needs over time. Good luck!
  22. My mans got a back up propane genny???? Link pease!!
