  1. This is a platform level issue I believe and not unique to our forum alone. Device: S21 ultra, android 14, Firefox 133.0.3 (Build #2016060959) When using the editor on mobile it has been nearly impossible for me to create or edit posts with @mentions, links, emoji, or photos. Basically anything that the forum platform automatically embeds something for The issue seems to be that those entities are not handled properly in the editor, and don't fully exist in-line in the text of the post being written. This causes issues when trying to type near them (such as adding " 's" to an @mention), or deleting them. At mentions particularly seem to either avoid or capture the cursor such that they can't be escaped. It's a very odd issue. Is anyone else experiencing this?
  2. @Mobius, @Theo, @PenguinKing, @Dylan, @jonp I love this idea! Things like this are what make a community great. I agree that a separate sub-forum would be ideal. Possibly 'Support > Guides and Tutorials'. EDIT: All right gents! The wheels are in motion!
  3. I'm in the Seattle area, so it would be a bit of a hike... πŸ˜…
  4. Toss an HBA in there! Then all you need is something to hold the drives lol
  5. I literally do low voltage for a living. We might be able to work something out πŸ˜‚
  6. Yep! You just disconnect the current server using the option in the command deck (deck.hexos.com). That frees up your license, and then you can claim the new server.
  7. @Dylan you need some ethernet ran you say? I'll do it for cash πŸ˜‹ Are you planning to do a rack for your head end?
  8. This is a good sentiment, though it may not be a great idea from a spam perspective. The contact form probably goes to Support@hexos.com, but I belive that companies often use contact forms like that to avoid email addresses being shown on their website in plain text, which exposes them to scraping, and could lead to tons of spam.
  9. Well... That is one way to do it!πŸ˜‚ 🀷 I'm a sucker for a good AV/network rack, but if putting stuff flat on the wall is better in your situation more power to you! Lol
  10. RUN FOR IT MARTY!
  11. I have been seeing a huge spike on social media lately of videos of various drones, UFOs, and UAPs. I am fascinated by all of this, but I also know that determining what is real vs fake is becoming more difficult by the day, and I feel like first hand reports are just about the only thing that we can truly trust at this point. Getting the news from the source as it were. Has anyone here seen any of these phenomena lately? I would love to see your pics and videos if you feel comfortable sharing!
  12. I believe it's possible, but I'm not sure how challenging it would be to configure it without having a cloud key or unifi gateway (router) https://store.ui.com/us/en?category=all-cloud-keys-gateways
  13. You may need to get a big bigger machine to be your data server, and use the NUC solely for running the LLMs. Without SATA ports or additional PCIe slots there isn't really much that can be done to make that setup into a decent storage server. You might look into the suggestions some users have been posting about small PCs that are being sold for NAS use and come in NAS style chassis. Ugreen is one option, but there are others that are a bit lower cost, but I can't remember the name(s) off hand. A used PC off of FB Marketplace or Craigslist would be a good option as well provided it can house 4+ hard drives and has sufficient SATA ports or an open PCIe slot for an HBA
  14. NICE! Any chance it could get bumped right so it's the last option? Something about having a search function in the middle of a bunch of menus feels odd to me lol
  15. I'm too powerful.
  16. I hope you get to skip a month of the lease payment for that nonsense!
  17. Same! I just watched that a couple days ago! Welcome @HoneyBadger!
  18. Note: I split this question off from the Hardware/software FAQ thread. I am removing or relocating comments that are not directly related to the guides and FAQs. This helps make sure that any technical issues are properly addressed, and keeps things neat and tidy. πŸ˜ƒ @maskedgamer, To my knowledge there isn't a published minimum speed, but we do have the minimum capacity to go on. I'm pretty sure DDR2 would be the minimum, as DDR1 was not readily available in capacities that could a total of 8 gigs on a system (the minimum requirement for HexOS). With hardware that old though you would probably end up not having enough speed for general use. As for DDR3, it definitely works. All of my current servers are DDR3 era, and they seem to be working just dandy. YMMV of course depending on the rest of your system config and how heavy of a load your server will have.
  19. Nice work @BeeezusChrist ! I had been wondering where TF the search function was... I have pinned this thread for visibility
  20. I'm pretty sure the limit is 100 over the previous 24 hours. I went HAM on day one I got blocked right at 100 total reactions.
  21. That would probably be the best way to get some good quality shirts
  22. We are democratizing the means of storage
  23. I hope you have a garage or unfinished basement... because servers are LOUD πŸ˜…
  24. Totally possible ...in TrueNAS. HexOS' valid configurations don't yet include options to use drives for caching. That is a fairly basic feature of ZFS setups, so I'm sure it's in the plans, I just don't know when it may be coming.
