  1. Pushing out a small patch today. This release addresses issues with app installations and includes updates to the forums. Bug Fixes App Installation Fixed issue with long running app installs - App installations that took longer than 2 minutes were incorrectly marked as failed, even when they completed successfully. The timeout handling has been improved to properly handle longer running app installs. Forums Along with these small bug fixes, you may notice a few changes around the hub. We’ve added new sections for each curated app supported by HexOS. This update will help us stay organized and respond more efficiently to issues related to app curation. It also makes it easier for us to share announcements, provide updates on ongoing bugs, and post solutions as they become available. Immich Following our recent Q3 update, you may have noticed some issues with Immich. We’re aware of what users are experiencing and are preparing a guide to help address these problems, which should be available soon.

  2. If you've installed an app using the TN user interface, you're going to be managing that app through TN for controls for a while. Supporting migration from TN to HexOS managed apps is not on the roadmap right now, but may be in the future. That said, if you remove the app from TN (but not your user data), you can then install it from HexOS. You will have to reconfigure the app but the user data will remain intact.

  3. Could we get a forum section for install scripts? That way as a community we can post a thread for a specific app and people can share their scripts and ask for feedback? I think that'd be handy, but I don't think it needs to go in the normal Applications support forum because that might confuse people as it's definitely a more advanced thing at the moment! Thanks

  4. I really appreciate the note acknowledging Immich as an open issue! I got my hopes up that this would automatically fix it. I will happily wait for the guide to walk me through what is needed!

  5. @jonp I work in software development so all of this is painfully familiar. When I saw the Immich struggles, I immediately thought "I bet they had a solution ready and it was obliterated by one of those updates". That reminds me of the classic: "There are no solutions, only trade-offs." Any half-decent team of developers is capable of making work almost any feature and solving almost any issue. If you are thinking "couldn't they just do X?", the answer is that they probably could. However, that would always be at the cost of something else being worse, broken or delayed... or it would take too much time, require too many people or cost too much money (usually at least two out of three).
