  1. It would be nice if users were allowed to select which development stream they want to be a part of. Stable will obviously not become a thing until the 1.0 release, but when this happens it would be nice if we could choose whether to sit on Stable, Testing, or Dev software streams. With obvious caveats for buyer beware if you are in Dev or Testing streams. The number of users at sign-up suggests there are a lot of tech-savvy people here. This community could be leveraged in the form of much wider testing than is currently possible. Would also be neat to have a few more Blog updates than at present. Perhaps monthly? It's not a great feeling having paid for something, then getting sparse updates on how things are progressing. The way Immich presents it's Roadmap is very nice while keeping everything simple.

  2. @Duncan Innes Currently when the time comes, new features should be able to be turned on / off for specific users, so those eager to test the latest and greatest may be able to get that chance. I'm sure they'll be further updates on this in the future as we get closer to more frequent releases post V1.0. As for updates, i hope we'll have more news shortly, though if you haven't read it already, the Q1 Update from Jon, does it's best to explain why the team had to reevaluate their own timelines / plan after such a successful launch. So keep an eye out for future updates coming soon! 🙏🏻

  3. Hmm. How many folks here have ever been through a large scale beta test before? This seems normal or perhaps even a little fast if you read the errors in the forums. Over the last three days have had to completely rebuild my HexOS server when it stopped connecting or allowing other things to connect. Was it a HexOS issue? I don't know as I was looking through pictures in the Immich web UI when I lost all connections. Did I need to rebuild the whole server? Well, I did because I don't know the first thing about TrueNas and some of the longest running forum threads are connections issues. This isn't a phone game that we will play for a few months then move on to the new hotness. I'm approaching 60 years old and I hope this product is built to outlast me! I won't begrudge anyone a frustration rant but to me that's all they are because I think FangerZero hit the nail square on the head with their last line above. And multi million dollar projects become zero dollar projects when you don't have a rock solid base. Now all that being said, would you folks hurry up! The natives are getting restless.

  4. 'Coming in Q2’ probably means no news until late June. Jokes aside, my biggest gripe is that Hex OS, which was supposed to save us time by eliminating the need to deal with config headaches and dig through TrueNAS manuals, actually <at least for now> introduces more moving parts and points of failure in the TrueNAS and Hex symbiosis. I get that many issues appear to be caused by people updating to unauthorized versions of TrueNAS, but there are also a number caused by unintended Plex or Immich app updates and/or unusual app configurations, forcing the need to find advanced workarounds that the product’s intended novice NAS users likely wouldn’t have to deal with on latest vanilla TrueNAS OS. I appreciate the challenge the dev team is tackling, but maybe this should’ve stayed in closed beta a bit longer

  5. I understand that it takes time, but no update for two months is quite long. I am not even looking for a software update. I am just genuinely interested at whats going on...
