  1. 100%. We are opening that up this week and doing a little forum reorg. Support forums will still be locked to paid customers only, but announcements will be opened up.
  2. Definitely appreciate the feedback. We acknowledge there are multiple areas for improvement, especially in how we communicate and relay information.
  3. Thoroughly agree. We will improve the labeling of updates going forward.
  4. In early June, there was an issue with HexOS where users couldn't download and install either of our curated apps. That issue was resolved with the Q2 update allowing users to update to 24.10.2.2. Separately, an issue with the storage configuration on Immich creeped up at the end of Q2 as well. Apps is the refocus of our attention for Q3 as we prepare to deploy a new templating system for curations that should improve our efficiency at both supporting what we have and adding more. We delivered on our promises for Q2 and now we're working on Q3. Not everyone is going to be happy with the pace, the order we choose to attack things, or how we communicate. All I can ask is to judge us based on what we deliver this year.
  5. I'm deeply disappointed to hear this. We did have a banner on the forums for a while pointing to the Q2 update, but the post itself is still where all of our update posts have been going: the Announcements forum. In addition, there have been multiple Command Deck updates since then that have seriously improved deck.hexos.com performance and responsiveness, as well as resolved a significant networking bug. Check out the Announcements forum and specifically posts by @jerod (our CTO). FYI, I'm Jon (the CEO and Co-Founder). Clearly we're missing some simple comm relays (like the Q2 update dropping) and some of our terminology could be more clear (differing from major and minor updates, OS vs. Command Deck as well). I do apologize for that, as comms are ultimately my responsibility right now. I've told our dev team to stay out of the forums beyond reading posts and communicating with @mill3000 on relevant support tickets. No blame on them for their lack of activity here. And while I greatly appreciate your input and desire for a dev-blog, we honestly just don't have the appetite to do it right now. Writing blogs wasn't part of the job description for the dev team either. We're putting all of our effort and the capital that was entrusted to us by customers (like you) towards building the product. I'm not sure what you mean by this comment. Is there an app you're trying to bring to HexOS that you've developed? I get it. You feel strongly about the devlogs. 😮‍💨 I don't. We're not even making big investments in marketing right now (our website is still the same from after launch week). All the capital is going towards making this thing really great (including backing/funding the ZFS AnyRaid project). Maybe that changes in the future when it makes more sense to me. Right now, each on-the-clock keystroke from our dev team goes to writing code or communicating ideas internally to further the project. I provide updates as I can and when there's something important to say (such as a release dropping). Clearly you're missing some of those and I'm struggling to understand how and why. It's important that I get this sorted because if it's happening to you, I'm sure it's happening to others as well. Especially as we're now moving at a faster pace than we were in the first half of 2025 and anticipate more frequent updates moving forward. I feel this too. 🤦‍♂️ I see the purchases you made and when you made them. @mill3000 referred to you as an OG and he's not wrong. No worries, I ignored all the BS from your post....mostly ;-). I definitely recommend checking your server for the Q2 update (the Command Deck will immediately be different if you haven't noticed already) and if you haven't, apply the available OS update from the Activity card on the dashboard. We have a lot more in store for Q3. I'm working on a few blog posts now. one to catch everyone up from June, and another to talk about our upcoming plan for apps. Thanks for taking the time to let us know how you're feeling. I'm confident if you purchased based on the vision you saw from us last year, you'll be happy you did by the end of this year. If you ultimately feel sour about this and want a refund now, let me know and we'll take care of it for you.
  6. We are working on increased app support this quarter. The plan is to build an app templating system that will allow us to more rapidly publish our curations and allow for the community to participate as well. I will be publishing another blog post soon to talk about this and our other priorities for Q3.
  7. Definitely can see the confusion here. This is a Command Deck update, not an OS update that would require you to download/install/restart anything.
  8. Yup. I figure why not give some info when I have it in the relevant places it’s being asked for. If folks want to find it, they can. I know a centralized repo of info would sound nice, but with all the little things here and there, it would end up looking more like a glossary or index and likely never get read, so this is better imho.
  9. Just know there were some api changes between 24 and 25 that we haven’t fully accounted for in the 25 version yet. Most basic functionality will likely work fine, but some operations may throw errors. We are planning to skip the 25.04 train entirely in favor of upgrading users directly to 25.10. The main reason is that there are even more api changes coming, so we would rather just focus on the next major release than trying to make 25.04 perfect only to have to upgrade again before October.
  10. The update is ok to do. It was a minor hotfix change related to Active Directory support (doesn’t directly affect us). With activity UI in place, only valid updates should show up now. We are still locking users to the 24.10 train, but updates within that train are fine.
  11. Thank you for this feedback. So you are saying that on the Activity card on the dashboard, you don't see any notification about updating to 24.10.2.2. This is definitely a case we need to track. @mill3000 please connect with this user and get any info you need to open a bug report with the dev team. @Creeju if you can hold off updating manually to 24.10.2.2, we'd like to see why your server is not seeing the HexOS update available.
  12. Just found this thread and love it! You guys have some really awesome vehicles. I'll have to post ours soon!
  13. It’s good to hear this. We are objectively measuring response times in our tool stack and this is in line with what we are seeing there as well.
  14. @mill3000 please find the thread he is talking about and let’s get a bug report to the dev team on it.
  15. You should see a notification about the update for the deck regardless of the version of TrueNAS you are on. Check your message archive to see if you have one. If not, that is a bug.
  16. Thank you and the others for reporting this. We will be investigating for a hot fix next week. In the meantime, you can use TrueNAS to set the static dns address as a temporary workaround.
  17. Yes. There are some bugs with HexOS on 25.04 that we need to look at. Furthermore we need to add ZFS pool upgrade operations to our process as well. all of that said, I have a system on 25.04 that definitely booted and connected to deck ok, but at present, cpu and memory usage reporting is borked 😬 Probably just an API call change we need to update, but we will get it fixed soon enough. As an fyi, if we do decide to update users to 25.04, it will likely be 25.04.2.
  18. If you clear 1 hr of history, does that fix it on Firefox?
  19. Yeah we are aware of this and looking at it, but clearing the last 1 hour of your browser history on chrome also fixes this issue. This does appear to be a chrome specific issue so if anyone runs into this with a different browser, let us know.
  20. Hi all!! We spent the day today rolling out the update and we are finally done! Everyone should be seeing the new update as soon as you login to the deck. Happy testing!!
  21. You'll see a theme pretty soon with our other staff ;-). We had our offsite meeting in June where we all got together in person for the first time and our UI/UX designer is also a photographer and set up some nice headshots for us. BTW, we are looking to push the update later today!!
  22. No. We're looking at issues with Plex and Immich in July.
  23. Thanks! We are going through our final fixes today with plans to publish tomorrow. There will be a few “known issues” that we intend to address which we will document in the release notes. The biggest being our need to address the changes to Immich, but after this release, our cadence for publishing updates will be far more frequent. This release marks the culmination of 6 months of team expansion and growth. With these guys well tuned now, we will be moving at a quicker pace.
  24. Yessir!
  25. Weekend testing went great! Documented a handful of bugs/issues that the team is actively squashing this week. Still hoping to publish the release by Friday, but we reserve the right to postpone till Monday if necessary. Here's a sneak peak at pool customization (drive selection) in the wizard: You'll notice in the background next to the "Continue" button that we have the option to "Skip" now! This will let users get into the dashboard without configuring any storage pools. This will enable the ability to adopt existing pools from TrueNAS SCALE itself (and other platforms).
