  1. Introducing our V4 installation scripts. This new iteration of app install scripts has a focus of improving application stability. We have updated our curation process to reduce the likelihood of bugs in curated apps. We are now automatically creating temporary snapshots prior to updating applications. This will help eliminate the chances of apps with breaking updates damaging your data. We have also implemented a system that will heal permissions modified in TrueNAS. Modified permissions in TrueNAS previously could have unintended consequences such as preventing curated app installation. App Curations We have committed to doubling our curations over the next few months, starting with these 9. LubeLogger - LubeLogger assists users in keeping track of their car maintenance records. Navidrome - Navidrome helps facilitate hosting your own music server. Excalidraw - Excalidraw is a Virtual whiteboard for sketching hand-drawn like diagrams. Blinko - Blinko is a lightweight note taking app. Dozzle - Dozzle is a realtime log viewer for docker apps running on your server Portracker - Portracker is a realtime port monitoring tool. Fladder - Fladder is a Jellyfin frontend and will spruce up your Jellyfin experience. Jellystat - Jellystat is a statistics app for Jellyfin and Emby. Seerr - Seerr is a request management and media discovery tool that works with your Jellyfin, Plex, or Emby server. 5/20 release notes - https://docs.hexos.com/release-notes/command-deck/2026-05-20.html 5/29 release notes - https://docs.hexos.com/release-notes/command-deck/2026-05-29.html
  2. We recommend only torrenting legally, that could mean Linux iso's or free domain tv and movies. As for a vpn bundled release, we will evaluate that in the future. For now I recommend using a socks5 compatible vpn and setting up qbittorrent with a socks5 proxy in the app settings.
  3. Like Cantos mentioned buddy backup and backing up to your own second server will be built on top of the same foundation and should be coming out together
  4. ram speed can help a little bit but more ram will vastly out perform faster ram for most homelab usecases.
  5. Renaming pools is not a feature that the underlying TrueNAS os supports. You can however rename the pool using command line. Automating pool naming helps us provide a better support experience by allowing us to provide premade shell commands for support with everything filled out correctly instead of having our users modify the commands.
  6. radarr, sonarr, prowlarr, qbittorrent have already been curated into 1 click install applications Portainer, Adguard Home, Karakeep, Homepage, NZBget, RustDesk, and Tautulli are available on the TrueNAS app store for manual installation Ombi can be installed via docker compose or you can use seerr to do a similar task.
  7. this is exactly what i would do for a tp link router.
  8. There is a chance this is happening because of how your router handles dns rebinding. Disabling dns rebind protection should allow you to access local. If you can share with me the brand of router you have I can share instructions for how to disable dns rebind protection
  9. Hi Jamespigeon i also reach out to you in your dms
  10. Hi Jammer, I reached out in your dms to see if there was anything i can do.
  11. from you screenshot it looks like you only have 3 of the 4 harddrives that the pool consists of installed into the system.
  12. can you share a screenshot of the warning you get? when i test importing pools in the truenas Ui I see no warning.
  13. how many drives did your pool consist of and how many functioning drives from that pool do you still have?
  14. If i am understanding correctly you have a single drive that was part of a pool and you would like to retrieve the files using a different operating system?
  15. with that amount of cores, a gold bar worth of ram and plenty of storage I think you'll have a pretty good time
  16. if im not mistaken it looks like it isn't a docker application. you'll likely be able to get it running inside of a linux vm
  17. I have always purchased new exos drives from ebay. My last batch came straight from seagate themselves.
  18. ahh i totally misread yeah you should be good then
  19. Next cloud has already been curated by HexOS
  20. this method likely wouldn't work well for you because your original pool is only 2 drives. Expandable pools require to originally made with 3 or more drives. @PsychoWards's solution is likely the best, plug them all in at the same time and then copy over your data.
  21. this is correct however there is one more limitation, only pools that consist of 3 or more storage drives can be expanded. 2 drive pools have no option for expansion 3+ drive pools can be expanded with drives of the same or larger capacity of the smallest drive in the pool yes if you have a pool that has 4 drives you can add another later to increase the pool size, giving you more space
  22. Seems like this might require some more hands on support. I sent you a dm
  23. https://docs.hexos.com/troubleshooting/common-issues/ImmichMigration.html
  24. you may need to do an immich migration depending on how old of a version of immich you are using
