Linx.999 Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 How Easy and streamlined would the change of a router be. Would Someone have to configure anything to get the system up on a new network? Would I just need to input my IP Address?
0 Magnus Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Hi there, by default we get the IP automatically (DHCP) so it should just work. It might require a reboot to fetch a new IP from the router though.
0 unicorn_weavel567 Posted January 4, 2025 Posted January 4, 2025 So basically if the machine can communicate with the internet, the Deck will be able to identify it and connect to it?
0 The_Collector Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 (edited) I can confirm that upgrading my router was pretty easy. All I needed to do was plug the new router in, plug my nas in, and then update my router to have the same IP as the old router, and as soon as the router IP updated my nas was back on the internet and I could connect exactly the same way as I could with the old router. 0 ubergeek Posted December 12, 2025 Posted December 12, 2025 I would take the new router and mirror the current /24 ip structure.
