I remember when HexOS first came out it was mentioned that an iOS app would be developed. Is that still the plan?

Yes, still the plan.  The UI is already mobile responsive, so it works well on phones, but we definitely plan to have an app in the future.  Aside from being a native app to use to navigate the UI/UX, there are some other features we're thinking about that would be uniquely available through the app that wouldn't apply to simple browser-based management.  Not ready to reveal all of that just yet.

Are you sure that is a good idea?  People already don't put their phone down.  I might be late to the party because I just heard it actually used but there is now a names phobia for the fear of being without your phone.

We can't solve the world's problems or be their nanies. We give or customers options and they choose if they want to use them or not.

Do you see yourselves creating first party apps in the future? Maybe similar to how zimaos is creating a first party photos app

I think creating first party apps makes sense for the core features we are directly supporting, but we are being diligent in picking which features we think we can do exceptionally well and provide some unique value, while letting existing, quality incumbent apps own there respective spaces. Case in point with Buddy Backup.

With something like photos, I just don't know if we could genuinely do better both short and long term than some of the options out there already. But we do think there's are some things we can do with them to have tighter knit integrations. More soon!
