Mindless999 Posted June 28 Posted June 28 6 hours ago, jonp said: Thank you and the others for reporting this. We will be investigating for a hot fix next week. In the meantime, you can use TrueNAS to set the static dns address as a temporary workaround. I can also confirm this. Also I noticed that the IPv6 address shown is originally the link-local address, and not the public address that I have. Changing the IPv4 also disables the IPv6 autodiscovery, and in HexOS I am currently missing the feature to set an static IP address there for IPv6. Is IPv6 support on the roadmap for the first full release, or will this be after?
Sonic Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Since the Q2 update I see this message in the activity history of one of my two HexOs servers. The message is: Failed to sync TRUENAS catalog. When I look in TrueNas, I don't see this message. The other server don't show this message. The only difference between the two servers I can think of is that on the server with the warning message i did the update to ElectricEel-24.10.2.2 manualy. For the other server I used the HexOs server to update.
Jakor Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Looks like I do have a minor bug to report after all! My folders don’t seem to load anymore in the HexOS dash. They get stuck like shown below. Tried restarting the server and using a different browser. Hopefully the hot fixes address this, but is anyone else having this problem?
Jamerperson Posted June 28 Posted June 28 How can I tell what version I'm running? Can we get a toggle for the dash that tells us the hexos version?

PsychoWards Posted June 28 Posted June 28 7 minutes ago, Jamerperson said: How can I tell what version I'm running? Can we get a toggle for the dash that tells us the hexos version? There are 2 relevant "versions". 1 is the Truenas Version, which can be updated manually over the truenas GUI or with the latest Hexos update via the deck and you can check the version in the Truenas GUI. The 2nd is Hexos itself, which is currently managed by the Dev Team and there is no manual user interaction necessary, the Dev Team is taking care of deploying updates to the Hexos Dashboard and there is always only 1 version active, always the latest Hexos version is automagically deployed. So for the time being you only need to take care of the Truenas Version and there is, for us endusers not really a Hexos Version.
BeardBoss96 Posted June 28 Posted June 28 im on truenas version 25. and hexos update says its 24.10.2 so i think i did somthing wrong ? some one knows how to change it witouth losing my apps en stuff ? i updatet a few days ago on truenas itself so i dont know if that whas wrong for hexos now ?
Uyakoll Posted June 29 Posted June 29 After updating Truenas to ElectricEel-24.10.2.2 I am now getting an "Failed to start docker for Applications: Docker service could not be started" error. I am also not able to open my SMB shares on windows as if there is a network issue. 1
rykott Posted June 29 Posted June 29 I've tried the update twice and it failed both times after the restart. Still loads correctly if I pick the old version in the boot menu.

Thanks for confirming it works for you, albeit slowly! I waited about 5 minutes. Every 60s or so, the pulsing loading icon goes away and the “new folder” icon appears, but without any of my folders. Then the lasting icon appears again. The page does this behavior in a loop as far as I can tell. fingers crossed there is an easy fix but if anyone thinks they can help fix this, please let me know what additional information would be helpful in troubleshooting!

Had to run zpool clear boot-pool From the Open Linux Shell and it fixed it. I did do a manual update with a file in TrueNAS but I would imagine the auto update should have worked as well once that error was resolved.

You mean the 7) open linux shell from the console setup en then? If i just type : zpool clear boot-pool nothing happens. Before i break something. Thanks in advance.
KGeetings Posted June 30 Posted June 30 (edited) I seem to have an issue where the Memory is showing the "in use" percent for the cached memory. I've seen both of them "update" to a new percentage, so I know that it's at least not entirely stopped reporting info. Using TrueNAS ElectricEel-24.10.2.2, and Firefox for the browser to the deck. You can check that in the TrueNAS gui under -> System -> Boot -> Boot Pool Status. The command is only needed if that is degraded. Once you run it it will look like nothing happened but the pool should be now Online - No Errors instead of degraded,

I had a failed install and when I tried again i got the same screen the other guy had. At the boot menu I could delete the previous attempts and try again. Now I am at the right version. Thanks a lot

For reference, I cleared the boot pool error in older version, deleted the bad install, booted in older version, re-did the update and it worked.

I am also facing this issue. For what it's worth, the folders were showing up fine until I deleted a user, and then they disappeared. I can still see them in the TrueNAS admin panel, though and accessing each with the user permissions I had set up before they disappeared still works.
Terrence Posted July 3 Posted July 3 As someone who updated to the next version of Truenas from within Truenas, this deck upgrade seems to have worked fine for me. I logged in to check today and I have the new heck interface but no upgrade notification (I assume because I'm already at 22.10.2.2)

Check your message archive to see if you have one. If not, that is a bug.
