What will you use HexOS for?

Hi, please tell us what you plan to use HexOS for. This is an important question so that Hex knows what direction to take and what audience it is developing the OS for.

I need local and remote storage, VPN, DNS and some automated file actions like renaming etc. For now I local storage and PiHole running. How and when can we expect more feautures?

Right now there is no concrete eta however you can checkout the hexos blog for an up to date roadmap on what to expect going forward

As for what i'm using my server for
It is 90% jellyfin server
5% storage for the family bc apple is allergic to giving fair upgrade costs.

I use HexOs as local storage and as backup target. I am looking forward to the buddy backup option. 
 

on my wishlist is an Active Backup (Microsoft 365) clone. That’s the reason I still have my Synology NAS up and running

I use hexos for my linux iso sharing with qbittorrent and streaming my media to my local device through plex (still waiting for jellyfin "easy install")

in the future i would like to use it for some home security (storing footage from IP camera)
