  1. Right now you can skip pool creation by removing the drives during install.
  2. When you install Hex you have the ability to install it on two (or more) boot drives for redundancy, i've currently got that running atm. if that's what you're talking about?
  3. from what i'm understanding from OP is what if he wants to transfer from one build to another (new drives) during setup / transfer 'technically two servers would need to be active. I guess the main question being asked is, will there be a grace period to allow temporary transfer. BUT, this assumes someone couldn't do a physical relocation, if they could then the above is negated. I could see this being possible for people with Systems with Under 10-15TB if they had a 1gb+ connection to both systems remotely. Otherwise pointless.
  4. Yeah exactly, long term i want to get a UPS system, so being able to manage / monitor power to my NAS and other networking equipment will be super critical, especially if it goes down when you're away from the device.
  5. The fact that the goal is we log into the command centre for a centralised login should mitigate that? Plus with a local UI coming, whether it's an api key, Mqtt, or another method, i'm sure a local only method would still be viable.
  6. So @Midnight2ss turns out it's part of the boot install - was able to select my existing two boot drives from my TN setup for mirrored boot.
  7. My mistake when i looked before the Pcie cards were pretty cheap. Just realised they were only 20Gbps for ~ $20
  8. Death by popularity! Bitter sweet haha
  9. @RobotsNeverDie Stupid question, but wouldn't using thunderbolt 4/5 Simplify this all? especially as your systems are in the same room?
  10. Yeah was curious if that was / will show up in the set up process. Or will come later down the line as part of there snapshot features. Would assume they’re mutually exclusive but who knows.
  11. @Midnight2ss do you have dual boot drives?
  12. Awesome! i would like but still blocked...
  13. Damn, thats a shame, fingers crossed you get a new one soon then. And yeah, just curious how they've done it, as i found it very confusion when setting up my 500gb m.2 as a cache drive before in TNS.
  14. i'd like that comment, but, you know...
  15. Install question, did the Hex UI give options for setting up cache drives? Or is that something we may need to restrict TNS for?
  16. Nice, looks pretty much identical to the default ones shown on TNS anyway, but looks good.
  17. Nice, thanks for the context. The moment I get in the next wave I’ll be setting up the full ARR suite, so be curious to see how seamless that goes.
  18. So I’m blocked from reacting anymore but I’ve probably only reacted max 15-20 times in the last 24 hours. Appreciate you might want limits to avoid bots/spamming, but this seems way too low? is this something that can be addressed? Or at least some additional context as to why if this is intended and won’t change?
  19. How easy is it to access / download docker apps that aren’t one click? do we have to find the repo link manually or is there a search functionality at this stage (appreciate early days for this)
  20. I’d also posted about this on another thread, the colour value needs to be fixed site wide in dark mode.
  21. If you know you want this, highly suggest buying now at the reduced price! nothing worse than eating and having to pay more. likewise if a little hesitant, you’d have until the end of the year essentially to see how people enjoy this through the beta and can still decide to buy @ the $200 price tag. as someone who’s been waiting for this since June/July, it was a no brainier!
  22. Same, a fairly capable tech nerd, who’s also a product designer, so eager to look at the UX/UI and also share and thoughts and improvements on that from too, especially as new features get launched. This software should be optimised and built from this community, we all want it to succeed!
  23. Exactly, but let’s say someone’s setting up a media server and the content isn’t critical (downloadable) then they’d want maximum capacity, which could be annoying if forced into mirror or raid 5. so one would hope if it is a limitation, is a beta thing, not permanent.
