Minisforum MS-01

Hey all, 

I am planning on running HexOS on a an i5 Minisforum MS-01. Plex storage will be supplied from an ethernet connected Synology NAS, but I am hoping to use the 10gbe speeds of the MS-01 to provide hi speed storage for my Final Cut video editing workflow. 

I am wondering if anyone has any experience with the MS-01, particularly HBA add in cards to enable me to build an SSD volume for this purpose. Two questions:

1) Does anyone have any experience with these cards or any alternatives that may be better?

2) Does anyone have any insight into compatibility with the MS-01 + HexOS (TrueNAS)? I know fitting cards can be a little hit and miss as well as compatibility so would love any advice here. 

Apologies if these are daft questions at all. First time getting a complete setup sorted myself rather than just grabbing as retail NAS system.
