SATA expansion card advice

Hi everyone,

Finally getting to building my nas. I am repurposing an old gaming computer. 

AMD Ryzen 5 2600X

32GB RAM

ASRock x470 Master SLI/ac

Zotac GTX 1080 (probably won't leave it in the nas)

12x 10TB HDDs

The mother board has 6 SATA ports, but I need more to use all of my hard drives.

I intend to add some of my old SSDs to the build for the OS and scratch/metadata. 

I am looking for advice on what expansion card I should get. I have been looking at getting 2x LSI 9211-8i. Not sure if that's the best to get.

Any advice on expansion cards or the build would be appreciated.

I can't help on the expansion card, but AMD Ryzen 1000-3000 Series tends to freeze with HexOS/TrueNAS. To fix this, you have to disable C-States. 

Also the GTX1080 is no longer supported only 2000 Series or higher is supported.
