jerod Posted February 7 Posted February 7 We are releasing a minor update today. Here are the main changes: Improved Setup Wizard Functionality: Enhancements in detecting system details during setup, with additional warnings and error messaging to help identify potential problems. Existing Data: The software now detects existing drive partitions during setup. If any exist, they will be flagged for your attention. Minor UI Improvements: A number of small user interface issues have been resolved to provide a smoother experience (eg. when scrolling through long content on larger displays, the detail panel will remain fixed and visible) You will receive these updates automatically on your next visit to the Command Deck. For those actively connected, there may be a brief moment of downtime to ensure everything is working correctly. 23 2

jpadgett Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Well I have 16 drives setup in 2 zfs pools and have have Immich open and working no issues at all except for getting the drives to work. NOT YOUR ISSUE. they were 520 sector 10K SAS drives had to find a program to reset them to 512. I got 8 more drives coming and I get to check the new features. It's Christmas all over again. Keep the good work coming. I am in for the long hall. 1

So had to remember how I did it I did get a windows program but thought the SAS controller drives were an issue. I switch to Linux Boot up a Linux ISO on that machine and install the Sg3_utils to handle the SAS controls I used the sys3 utilizes tools to reset the sectors and format the drives. there is a command you run to get the converted SAS Device name. I have all that in a text file on that drive I will have to take HexOS down to boot up on it and get all the info. Will do that some time tomorrow evening.. 2

Just keen as I tried HexOS, but didn't make it very far as I use a single pool for non-critical files that I need for Plex. Because of that one pool, none of the other pools display in Hexos. So I've been learning how to use Truenas and creating pools, datasets, and shares manually.
Zsert Posted February 12 Posted February 12 @jonp Sadly I cannot get the update? I see the notification but it is not visible in the settings... Current version that I can find in the settings page can be viewed in picture 4

hades0299 Posted February 13 Posted February 13 (edited) What you are seeing is an update notification of TrueNas, not of HexOS. The HexOS Update is aleady available, as that basically updates the UI/Functionality of deck.hexos.com. Regarding the notification you are seeing, do not update TrueNas, as discussed here: Edited February 13 by hades0299 2
