Nano Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 If I was to install hex os with the lifetime license on a current server and in the future upgraded to a completely new server is there a way to transfer the lifetime license from old server to the new server?
Magnus Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 Hi there! Yes, you can disconnect your server and reuse your license on another server. 1 1

Can the disconected server still be accessed/running when the licence is disconnected? To allow you to transfer data off it to the new server?
arvinpw Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 if i'm not mistaken, you can still access the disconnected server via TrueNAS webUI (typing your machine's IP address directly in web browser), as it no longer managed by HexOS. And by that logic, it should be still accessible and you can transfer your data. Need further testing, as i'm waiting my new hardware arrives
