Hey @Nuno Marques - Yes, that is our current model. This has proven extremely beneficial as the feedback provided by our growing user-base has helped drive what WE, as users, would like to see in future releases; as opposed to being decided unilaterally as in other NAS OS offerings. And hey, we're a small shop right now. If you'd like to join and participate in growing a robust, dynamic yet simple NAS UI, then come on down like the Price Is Right! We'd love to have your positive feedback.

Cheers!

Am I getting that right? We have to buy the product before we can even test it? That sounds like a bad idea.

There was a fair bit of pushback early on but a lot of us have decided to just bite the bullet.

one thing to note is that there is a 30 day refund policy if you don't like it.
If you wanna take advantage of that i would suggest waiting for at least beta 2 since there isn't much we can do with beta 1

I've done a ton. Moving from simple DLNA shares to Plex, setup tailscale for remote access (which was incredibly easy) and I haven't even started on Immich yet.

It's just a matter of perspective. Without going into truenas there is only Plex and immich at this time.
