Syko Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 (edited) Having tried 3 different drives now, none can be seen when trying to install the OS... all 3 drives are showing up in the Bios and are working drives which iv tested before. Iv disconnect all drives apart from the M.2 and tried installing the OS , but again it's not showing up Edit , just tried Truenas scale , and that won't see the M.2 neither but iv had windows 11 running on the Dell optiplex without any issues .. secure boot is set to off within the Bios .. Syko Posted December 12, 2024 Author Posted December 12, 2024 It's working , but iv had to use a PCIE m.2 card, and it's now showing up 🤷 Quote
boozu Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I'm having the exact same issue with the same PC. My only difference is my two HDD's will show up in the installer, but my my installation m.2 which is, of course the one I need to show up. What exactly did you do to get it to show? Quote
ubergeek Posted January 28 Posted January 28 is it in ahci mode? Ill have to play with one tomorrow at work to make a complete walkthrough Quote
Flyboy Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Any update other than having to buy an adapter to use a PCIE m.2 slot? Quote
Flyboy Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Okay, for any future people who find this. The answer is go into your BIOS and check the Storage pane, chances are it's set to RAID, instead of AHCI. I found the answer on a reddit post with someone trying to install true nas and had the same problem. 1 Quote
