That would be ideal somewhen in the future. I have two licenses and plan to put one physically at a family members home for the buddy backup and their personal use.
Would be nice, only helpful for people with more than 3+ licenses. Maybe it could behave that way, when naming your servers the name each server uses will be shown when looking at licenses.
Lifetime means that there is no time limit. When switching to new hardware just disconnect your old server from the license and connect the new hardware to your license.
You can always build your own systems. There are a lot of guides online. There is the N100 CPU by Intel already on motherboards to buy which is on the cheaper side.
I think these N100 MBs are great hardware to dip your toes into building your own system. Just think about your needs and google a bit. You can also always ask questions about compatibility and purpose of hardware here
i just ordered a small NAS with a N100 for the family. Its also available with a stronger risen cpu but it can't transcode as well as the N100 (up to 4 4k streams)

You can also just build your own NAS to satisfy your use cases
I doubt that this will be possible as other NAS software developers would already have done that. Without deep tech knowledge i think it will be a real hassle to manage login credentials via a third service while keeping both systems secure.
That also means that you have to run HASS on another machine.
@Midnight2ss Wake on lan needs special hardware.
I think to have read that the web access website will be scalable for mobile devices. That way you won't really need an app. Maybe a bookmark on your home screen or something.
Can't edit here. I ment that a bought license can only be transferred once as long as it is valid.
ie: I bought two lifetime licenses and want to gift one to a family member. After the transfer from my account to the family members the license is useable for the family member but can't be transferred again to another account.
It's likely the other way around: How hard will it be to install and get HexOS to work on these devices which were designed for specialized software from their manufacturer.
HexOS should at least be able to run them. If there will be some kind of streamlining in hindsight of installation and or post installation settings it takes time. HexOS has barely started and there may be around 200 users with beta access right now.
My take is: There will be a one click installation for Pterodactyl and others. Just give it time.
Hi,
i can't edit my answers to posts in OS & Features but can do so fine in other subforums
EDIT: here it works, not in OS & Features and maybe some other subforums
You can use fan control to manage your fans. https://www.baeldung.com/linux/control-fan-speed
Maybe there will be an app for that, fan control isn't exactly user friendly and easy as HexOS should be.
