@jonpprobably should get on this sooner rather than later? -
Pretty sure that's just a PCB with a bunch of SATA power/data ports. So you'd mount the hard drives and run cables. Or slap light SSDs onto it.

Looks like they do have the 5-bay one, and you might be able to get it from their webstore. There are definitely options, and I think Mossware made a great point 🙂

If you're just wanting to increase storage, I can personally attest to these Sabrent expansion bays - I've been using this 4-bay model since 2021. Literally just plug and play - no software to faff about with. https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-Tray-Less-Docking-Station-DS-SC5B/dp/B07Y3WDHLD

Specwise, seems solid. N100 is a good little chip.

That's pretty much what Magnus said, and he's one of the designers lol

You don't have to set the IP for any computer that utilizes DHCP.

You mean the Arr stack? It's been asked for in this thread many times

It would be nice to be able to mark certain subforum or topics as "do not mark as unread" when there's a new post. After a while, I don't really care about each person posting their individual thread in the Waiting Room - for example.

Can I run this alongside a windows install? Okay to shut down for nights
Sparkrdom replied to MissedApex992's question in OS & Features
From my understanding, yes to both questions. HexOS in a VM is still being tested in beta, but I've seen people mention it works. YMMV. And yeah, why wouldn't you be able to shut it down? It's just a file server with some apps installed. -
There's some forum hidden until you get your invite to the beta. One of those forums had someone post that PDF. They are installable, yes, but they are not one-click installs - Only Plex and Immich are one-click. You will need to do some configuration.

Feature Request: Specifying Technical Proficiency
Sparkrdom replied to InternetUser's topic in Roadmap & Feature Requests
I think I'd rather they just focus on the features, and purely on the ease of use. Spending more time figuring out "levels" of technical proficiency seems like a waste of resources. -
Ahh, I've never heard home assistant abbreviated as such, when High Availability (HA) is a super common term in servers. Even Wikipedia abbreviates High Availability to HA.

You can attach or detach a system from your account any time. Edit: to clarify, currently adding and removing is done via the cloud at deck.hexos.com

I would suggest using the Contact Us link at the bottom of the forums, rather than asking publicly.

Plans to support game server hosting?
Sparkrdom replied to Friendly_Mushrooom's topic in Other Questions
There's a thread or two about this already 🙂 -
Great point, I wouldn't want to buy another license just to transfer things to a new setup.
-
High Availability for those who don't know the acronym.
-
We definitely need an increase. Do the reactions count towards "forum points" and that's why there's a limit?

Support for software RAID with different-sized drives?
Sparkrdom replied to Jam's question in OS & Features
The pool will be limited to the smallest drive in the pool. https://serverfault.com/questions/163687/zfs-can-one-mirrored-pair-be-a-different-size-than-another-pair Though, if you slowly upgrade them to all match, once they do, it'll immediately increase your capacity to the total storage available.
