    FINALLY!

This is all to familiar 😉
  2. I buy 1 kg of pure teas, not flavored with strawberry and what have you. And I shift every time, since you’re drinking the same tea for a long tome anyway. Coffee at home means about half the cup with milk, put to boil in the microwave oven, and the rest with boiling water. Add two tablespoons of freeze dried coffee. And sugar.
  3. Thanks to you. Of course there should be a place like this to introduce yourself to the other members of this forum.
  4. I think they are sold as 2,5” industrial SSD:s. Industry don´t need the polished outer shell 😉
  5. The wonders of technology 😉
  6. Yeah, I found that, too. It seems to go under Industrial SSD:s on Longsys website. Will open the Mini one of these days to have a look., maybe there is one like this sitting there?! Since I gather it´s not always easy for anyone to get this type of industrial gadgets. I could maybe use something like GParted also to check, or get to the BIOS settings…
  7. So, anyone who is a bit more in-the-know than I am? This type of SSD would fit as OS drive inside my little mini PC/NAS intended for HexOS. I cannot see a model number or such, and I just don´t want to guess. I got this picture from their support , but when you get web pages in Chinese sent to you, it´s a bit difficult to decipher the information
  8. I am ulfn, my first name Ulf is an old Nordic word for wolf. History lesson over. Built computers since 2008 for my self and for my sister- and her son too. So I built a would-be-NAS computer in 2015 - Fractal Design Node 304 with an Asrock mini-ITX serverboard, 128GB SSD, Xeon processor and 16GB ECC RAM and four WD Red 2TB hard drives. Just because you could. It all got stuck in limbo, though. Which OS to use, and how to configure it? You need time to do these things, and I just didn´t have that. Today I want a more ready to use and simple to configure solution. So it happened I got information about HexOS somewhere - not the LTT video everybody else saw. When the 99USD lifetime offer came I reacted immediately. In a forum post here I found information about a mini PC with four NVMe slots and purchased that. Mini is it for me. More of that I try to describe elsewhere in this forum. Over and out.
  9. Here is a place for a boot drive, the Foresee thing, basically an SSD without casing. Image I got from their support, so the Foresee brand is just an example. When I got this mini PC the specification chosen was for a 512GB SSD which I imagined would be in addition to the four NVMe positions. But was simply one of four positions occupied.
  10. So, would it make a difference to go with an enterprise SSD for the OS? I could do it because it feels better 😉 and then I would choose a smaller one, than the 512GB SSD installed. Is the OS disk under a lot of stress in a NAS? My configuration, as shown in another post: https://ipc.net/products/4-bay-nas-pocket-pc-dual-2-5gbe-i226-v-lan-ports-12th-gen-n100-n305-with-ddr5-max-48gb-4-m-2-nvme-2280-dual-4k-display-2-usb3-2-10gbps-for-micro-firewall-router-nas-mini-computer?variant=44328463827102
  11. I just ordered one of these. Could’nt resist the small size. There is an SSD for the OS. As for fanless, there IS a fan, let’s just hope it’s of the silent kind 😉 I got mine from here, since amazon.com don’t ship this product to my country (Sweden): https://ipc.net/products/4-bay-nas-pocket-pc-dual-2-5gbe-i226-v-lan-ports-12th-gen-n100-n305-with-ddr5-max-48gb-4-m-2-nvme-2280-dual-4k-display-2-usb3-2-10gbps-for-micro-firewall-router-nas-mini-computer It will be a nice housing for the HexOS I payed for this morning.
