If you're running the one click immich install the photos folder is made public to all users in your pool, so they would have access to those. I haven't looked into a work around because I am exclusively using my immich instance to share photos with my family.
I would recommend creating a private folder for yourself to separate anything that you don't want others to have access to. Like @bashbash said, you can also create user specific private folders as well so everyone has their own directories within your pool(s) but if your family is anything like mine they will have a hard time logging into an SMB share with their user name and password every they are trying to connect.
when youre doing the folders and users you can set who has access to what, and password lock them (with the user pass)
for example on my dash I have
My folder, my dads folder, and my moms
each with their respective folder set to private and they can only access their respective folders
This guy arrived earlier today and just works. I love when things just work and didn't need a bunch of configurations.
This pool was created before I got the card.
@ubergeek Thank you!
It's a made up word that is easily understood to be "messed up" or, more plainly, "made a big mistake".
Another reason it can be funny is it is similar to the name of the bad guy in "Back to the Future"

Very aware that Plex isn't "perfect" just yet. We definitely have some work ahead of us because there are some issues with performance, transcoding, and networking that need to be addressed. We are definitely going to be revising the Plex one-click deployment and should be able to address a lot if not all of these issues.
I'd love to see a more wider adoption of Bluesky's PDS system from the AT Protocol. It'd also massively help the push towards a more open internet in the process!
