  2. Same here. Figured it was a permissions thing but maybe not. Haven't figured it out yet.
  3. Duck

    One drive pool

Development takes time. They went through a hiring phase. Give them some time.
  4. Why is this nota thing yet.
  5. Just confirming your issues are post claiming server with hexos?
  6. I've also got this issue, I don't want to touch anything as it's currently working well otherwise. Would be keen to know if anyone's found a solution.
  7. Also curious if Alchemist cards are working now, Arc a310 specifically for me but I also have a b580 on hand I might want to use later.
  8. So @Dylan you said a while ago ”Looking forward to see and hearing about it when you've got it all up and running.”. Well since last weekend I’m running HexOS on my Pocket NAS. I’ve just now realized I would have to catch up on smb shares though, to make it really work. So far no files on my NAS, just running ”empty”. If those cables were tidied up a bit it could well be sitting there in my hallway for good.
  9. Last week
  10. eventually yes, soon i don't know about that. the team has been focused on scaling up so fingers crossed that once these growing pains are done updates will come more frequently this is true
  11. Which is more or less my point in asking my question. At some point falling farther and farther behind current release becomes a problem in and of itself.
  12. don’t believe the HexOS team has released *ANY* TrueNAS OS release updates since launch…
  13. Are there plans for TrueNAS version updates to eventually come about soon after their official release?
  14. HexOS will eventually move to the most up to date stable releases of truenas. At this time there are no etas.
  15. If you only use it for read only, please do the upgrade and let us know. If it breaks hexos then revert back before upgrading the storage pool with the new features. If everything went according to plan, It's also interesting to know if the storage pool upgrade works fine.
  16. Any update on the Matter?
  17. Is there any plans to upgrade to 25.04? I am mostly looking forward to "Configurable IP addresses for newly added Apps in the catalog are available. All existing Apps will have this support added by June 1s" Anyone tried updating truenas anyway and seeing if the HexOS dashboard still works (I generally use it for read only data anyway, so I might be tempted to upgrade anyway...)
  18. When upgrading my CPU, the bios asked me if I want to reset fTpm and which I said Yes and then now it wrote SPL; loading out of tree module taints kernel ZFS: module license CDDL tainted kernel. at this point, I was thinking of fresh install, but some data is already stored. Is there any direction?
  19. I use hexos for my linux iso sharing with qbittorrent and streaming my media to my local device through plex (still waiting for jellyfin "easy install") in the future i would like to use it for some home security (storing footage from IP camera)
  20. I still don't have my NextCloud working right. I think some of it comes from not having used Docker before. On a previous Ubuntu Server setup, I felt like I got NextCloud working pretty quickly. This one has been stumping me. I have also tackled the TrueNas community, but that has not been helpful. Top rated comments are "Use TrueNas Scale and follow instructions". But none of the instructions line up! I gave up after weeks turned to months of looking at it in my limited free time. Waiting until someone with more experience can write up a more exhaustive walkthrough that matches more of the build. I have learned more about some things since getting HexOS, such as Tailscale, which has been amazing to learn and figure out. Connecting Next on my docket to learn is NGINX. I'm glad I can learn some of these new skills, but it comes at a price of time. They weren't in my pocket beforehand, but getting them all to work happily together has been a beast. As soon as they launch 1.0, this is my ranking of apps to install on a fresh build. 1. Plex (just because I have the eternal license) 2. Immich (loving it lots) 3. Tailscale 4. NGINX (once I figure it out)—unless someone can give me a better idea of how to share Immich photo albums with family using proxies while also being safe online. 5. NextCloud (please be 1-click launch) Suffice it to say that networking is not my forte, nor is TrueNas. But I now know more about it than I did before HexOS came out.
  21. Truenas has no option to control fan speeds. There are some solutions available, but as far as I know they are very experimental. See as example: https://github.com/jp-powers/fan-control This script is tested in Proxmox on a Dell Poweredge R730xd. Since Proxmox is also Linux based, perhaps this script will also work in Truenas Scale. (Truenas Core is based on FreeBSD).
  22. As far as i am aware there is no way to control fan speeds at this time. I'm not if/when we would get such a feature. I would check if there are any docker apps that would work for fan control.
  23. I just got the license recently and was hoping the same! Right now Minecraft is the only server constantly running through Amp. But we have ran several other games through this interface in the past. My plan is to do it myself but a native install would definitely be better.
  24. I am thinking about purchasing Hex OS for my dell poweredge r730xd. I originally had some issues when trying to install Truenas since it had no easy way to control fans. Im pretty sure this is due to the communication with the computer and the fans itself since I had to enter hex code to control the fans manually via Dell IPMI. My question is, with hex os is there an easy way to control this and if not would a feature like that ever be implemented in the future
  25. I ordered this memory module today. To have as a spare, or upgrade if I feel like it. The Pocket NAS can use up to 48GB RAM. Currently it’s 32GB.
  26. . My nas is my old CPU and mobo with some cheap gpus and 3 Seagate nas drives. I have a Rx 580 for the host os and a 2080ti water-cooled for vms. Idle it uses around 180w and around 320 with Plex and immich going full bore maxing out my 5950x. I haven't figured out what USB controller I have to pass through to use USB devices in my vms so I haven't really been able to test the power draw while running a VM with aida64 and furmark running so I don't know the max it'll pull. In my area it looks like my nas at an assumed consumption of 200w cost around $250 USD a year to power. Ouch.
