Why is TrueNAS being advertised as the embodyment of all the best that open source Linux has to offer? TrueNAS is based on FreeBSD...

TrueNAS is built on FreeBSD.  TrusNAS Scale is built on Linux.  HexOS will be built on TrueNAS Scale and therefore on Linux.
