Raspberry Pi support?

If so, what models will be supported? Will it just be 4 or 5 or will the 3 or Zero get supported?

Q: Can I run HexOS on a Raspberry Pi or equivalent?

  • A: No. Raspberry Pi devices are built using ARM processors. HexOS requires x86 hardware.

For some more context, this is less an issue with HexOS, more an issue with TrueNAS Scale as it doesn't support ARM as HexOS is based on it.

There's a recent-ish short thread on the topic over on the TrueNAS Community forums - https://www.truenas.com/community/threads/truenas-scale-on-arm-2024-thread.117674/

The sentiment over there seems to be 'it's just not quite worth it to build it on ARM' given it still leans a bit more of a consumer and hobbyist instruction set for the time being.
