StraightUpSean Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 It would be pretty cool if we had the option to transfer licenses to other HexOS users. Obviously not something you guys should prioritize, but with the suggestion. 1 Quote
CookieC Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 I would love that because I just bought it on the wrong account and now I'm Stuck with it on this email instead of the business one. :( I wish we could change the email on the accounts. 1 Quote
nightpoison Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Changing the email should be a very simple thing. I also would like to update my email address. However, the ability to transfer a license to another user is an unreasonable request, in my opinion. If we want long term support for this Os, with a lifetime license purchase option, then we want other users to buy into the ecosystem. This generates money for the company, supporting them for continued development of the product. With so many software products moving to only a SaaS, subscriptions, model. I wouldn't want to limit the companies income source, as generally speaking subscriptions generate a better revenue long-term for a company. Allowing transferable licenses would just lose the company money and potentially cause them to think about the purchase model. .Creating a turnkey Os of this nature takes development time and long-term support. Just my thoughts. 10 hours ago, CookieC said: I would love that because I just bought it on the wrong account and now I'm Stuck with it on this email instead of the business one. 😞 I wish we could change the email on the accounts. 1 1 Quote

hdd Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 I was surprised to see editing email addresses want enabled however if I were to guess perhaps it was to mitigate against people bulk buying and selling further down the line?... I'm likely over thinking that one 😅 Quote
Magnus Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Hi there! Transferring a license to another individual is against our terms and conditions. If there was an error with the email we might be able to help you out, send a message to support (just remember we have a bit of a waiting time atm) Quote
