IamGeneralZod Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Hoping that options such as Emby media server will make its way to HexOS. Would be nice as I do not care to switch to Plex. 3
cyberic Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Same here. Currently running Emby because of the ease of using Emby Connect with my family far away. I liked that I paid for a one time subscription instead of them. 1
mcnauge Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Same here. I have multiple family members on Windows 10 "servers" setup with Emby as their media center. I have used Emby since the old mediabrowser days and I have been looking for a way to have Emby Server + Storage on DIY hardware without using windows as I do currently. I just want simple (not learning a new complex OS) way to do that.
jmztaylor Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Its not the best solution right now but if you go to TrueNAS->Apps->Discover Apps->Custom App you can use any docker image you want.
jonp Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 It's on the teams short list for inclusion! I even posted on the Emby forums letting them know as well!!
Todd Miller Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 Emby, Plex and Jellyfin? How are we ever going to chose (setting aside cost for the moment)?
