Manders Posted Thursday at 09:36 PM Posted Thursday at 09:36 PM After today's update I am no longer able to connect to my network drive using SMB. I suspect that this is due to this change: Quote SMB transport encryption is now set to DESIRED by default, resolving connection failures for Windows 11 24H2+ clients that require SMB signing I am trying to connect from Linux which has worked flawlessly for 1.5 years, but now I'm suddenly met with a login screen. Is this expected behavior @mill3000? 1
mill3000 Posted Thursday at 10:42 PM Author Posted Thursday at 10:42 PM Thanks for telling us. We got another person saying the same issue. We should be able to fix it. Not sure if it's today or tomorrow that we can get a fix out. Sorry for the issue. 2

Is this expected behavior @mill3000? I had the same issue, and I was able to fix this by running the following command in the TrueNAS shell: midclt call smb.update '{"encryption":"DEFAULT"}' 2

MQY1AMZLDTN8 Posted Friday at 12:36 AM Posted Friday at 12:36 AM same issue-unable to access drives/folders on server. jellyfin and home assistant run fine
OllieJabuggar Posted Friday at 12:54 AM Posted Friday at 12:54 AM I am having the same issue, I have Windows and Linux. Unable to access files on the server from both operating systems. The HexOS Command Deck and TrueNAS webUI works fine. I restarted the router, restarted the server, and made sure the server was on a static IP. Linux has always worked fine, Windows I previously did the gpedit fix (Digitally sign communications ) and (Enable insecure guest logons ). I reversed those options in Windows and still no luck on accessing files on the server.
mill3000 Posted Friday at 03:27 AM Author Posted Friday at 03:27 AM A fix most likely will be out tomorrow putting the SMB back the way it was but for new Windows 11 shares doing it the Windows way so you don't have to edit anything on the Windows side. Sorry for the problems and thanks for writing down all the ways you fixed them on your systems.
SteveOS Posted Friday at 10:10 AM Posted Friday at 10:10 AM I am having trouble accessing the hexod dashboard. Truenas works tine. Have had to restart and reclaim server to get back in. Most recent attempt is now just stuck on loading after claim process.
mill3000 Posted Friday at 04:18 PM Author Posted Friday at 04:18 PM @SteveOS Are you still having issues? DM me and i'll have someone look into it. Sorry for your troubles.
Mr_Stig Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I'm unable to change the timespan for monitoring. I select a different value from the drop-down but it remains at the default. Super minor but if the functionality is there it'd be nice if it worked.
Mr_Stig Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago The per-app resource metrics are awesome though. Now I know for sure it's immich using 60% CPU following a big picture dump. And I know how much ram everything is chewing up.
