HexOS installation on top of existing TrueNAS

Dear Community,

I'm currently in the Process of building a NAS Array. Currently i'm lacking the funds to buy a HexOS License but planning top use it down the road. I haven't installed an OS at this point.

My Question is Can HexOS be installed/applied to an already existing TrueNAS installation or does it need to be set up from scratch? I'm not necessarily talking about Arrays or Pools themselves, rather the Base Operating System.

At the moment, the only option is to install HexOS from scratch. It cannot be installed on top of an existing TrueNAS.

Personally I wouldn't see that being a option due to the fact on how Hex is baked into the build of Truenas
