Hello everybody!

I’m planning on running this software on a beelink mini pc I have lying around, but the form factor really isn’t conducive to attaching hard drives via sata cable. What would be my next best option? A USB3 hdd enclosure hooked up to the back? Or should I just build or buy a different pc all together?

Any input is appreciated, I am new to this world. Thank you!

it is best practice to not use external storage so building a new pc woul make more sense.

this is a comment i made in another thread that can be a place to start

Better to declare what your use-case/needs are as well as budget. Hard to help if I don't know how you intend to use a system and what your constraints may be (costs, power, noise etc).

You'd be rolling the dice, but something like this MIGHT work. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BZHSK29B

I see two reviews claiming it works with TrueNAS.

Though I also see one review claiming it doesn't work with TrueNAS Core (I believe HexOS is based on TrueNAS Scale, not Core)

Edit: I don't know whether HexOS would have extra difficulties handling this sort of configuration.
