Memory upgrade

So it took two weeks  for what every reason. But i got such a great deal that I do not care 8 sticks of dual rank 16gb DDR4 ECC. I got it for 70 buck in the last 3 weeks there has been some good deals on eBay for both memory and used SAS drives.  So happy!

Ive been on the hunt for 4x 16 or 32 gb sticks of nonECC 3200 for my build. Im just hunting and waiting

what a great deal
access to inexpensive ecc memory is such a huge boon for actual server grade hardware

i think i dropped around $300 for new  4x48gb sticks of ddr5 non ecc ram.

@ubergeek check facebook marketplace and craigslist. i tend to have better luck with fb.
i also would just get whatever clock speeds are available as ram speeds aren't too important with truenas/hexos.
More than likely you'll be bottle necked somewhere else

More than likely you'll be bottle necked somewhere else

2133 MHz x 8 but I had one pair my machine can take large sticks It can do a max of 3072.00 GB. I will never be able to afford that.
