imNotOriginal Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I backed the JetKVM and got it two days before I started building my HEX NAS - This thing has been amazing so far. Curious about other's experience with it. Quote

jonp Posted January 16 Posted January 16 We just put in an order for 5 that we should get some time in March I think. These things look awesome. Glad to hear you're liking yours so much!! 1 Quote

I seem to recall seeing a comment from them indicating they plan on selling them through Amazon pretty much as soon as the kickstarter rewards are all shipped. I got mine yesterday and am loving it. It's a proper product. Everything from packaging to the look and feel of the device itself is really well done. I did have to switch the HDMI cable from integrated graphics to discrete to get into BIOS. The output from the i7 in that machine is really weird and hardly works on anything until it's past booting (in the past I've found it only works on monitors, not on TVs, so it was no real surprise the JetKVM couldn't handle it either). While I don't actually need more than a single one at the moment, I'm still going go get me a few more once they become readily available because it's so handy it's only a matter of time before I find myself in a "oh, dang, if I had another one of those right now that would have been so convenient" situation. The only thing I see myself as potentially missing in the future, is wifi connectivity. Quote

This is why that RJ11 port was a great add on their part, it allows for people to make add ons that might fill a missing feature that others may need. Quote

I was planning to buy the UGreen Nas after the kickstarter as it was limited to the US & Germany. can't believe it's still not launched / available in the UK. almost a year on... Though likewise looking forward to getting my 3 Jetkvm's though being backer 1800, i'll be waiting a while haha Plus could imagine a really cool integration to the deck could be a way to add your KVM (OR IPMI) entry point / url to access it as an MVP, with integrated power cycle options as a north star. again, will depend on api / integrations of it all, but would really simplify it all and keep it in the Hex eco system. Imagine being halfway around the world, your hex servers crashed and not showing up in the deck, but you can click the restart button and seconds later, it's rebooted. But definitely VERY far down on the priority list aha Quote
CynicalAthos Posted January 20 Posted January 20 I got my JetKVM today and used it to setup my HexOS box. I love it it, it just worked which isn't something I'm used to with kickstarter products. One of the coolest features was that I was able to load the install ISO to the JetKVM and mount as a virtual drive. I'll probablly get the ATX power module when they start selling via Amazon or a storefront. Quote

Also hope, it's compact enough to squeeze inside my current very compact Jonsbo N2 case... 🤞 Quote
Sonic Posted April 4 Posted April 4 I received my JetKvm's this week. My advice: everyone with a homelab should buy one. I am impressed. It works out of the box, it's simple and both hardware and software feels solid. And the price is more then reasonable. Quote

When I saw the price initially, I thought it was too good to be true, I would be just donating and never receive a product.... until the Youtubers started to receive the product. I feel that you get a pretty good value packed for your money. Mine shipped the other day, Im just waiting for FedEX/UPS to deliver it Quote
Sonic Posted Sunday at 06:56 AM Posted Sunday at 06:56 AM I thought the same. I also have a BliKVM V4, which cost me more then 200 euro’s. It does the job, but very unpolished compared to the JetKVM. Quote
Iliyria Posted Sunday at 07:23 AM Posted Sunday at 07:23 AM (edited) I bought 2 but the TrueNAS server I just built has iDrac so I no longer need one of them. Im sure Ill find something to use it on... I might just waste it on my pfsense router Edited Sunday at 07:25 AM by Iliyria Quote
Theo Posted Sunday at 12:45 PM Posted Sunday at 12:45 PM So far my Jet's have been flawless and simple installs. Be interested to see how they compare to the GL.inet Comet that'll come out soon. 1 Quote
Sonic Posted Sunday at 05:00 PM Posted Sunday at 05:00 PM GL.inet Comet looks also interesting. Especially this specs: 2K@60FPS video with H.264 hardware encoding for smooth performance Ultra-low latency (30ms-60ms) for real-time remote control And almost the same pricepoint 1 Quote
Iliyria Posted Wednesday at 01:21 AM Posted Wednesday at 01:21 AM Right now the influencers are reporting issues with the Comet. Lawrence Systems reported some were taken care of the past few days 1 Quote
Dylan Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I've found it confusing on whether or not kickstarter is still accepting orders or if I should just wait for retail? Quote
