markrieder Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Please note that many customers are not familiar with TrueNas and do not know how ZFS works. An inexperienced user does not know the terms pool, vdev and does not understand the principle of operation of z1, z2, z3... Therefore, when creating pools, it would be advisable to go through the wizard, where it will ask me whether I want to create a pool focused on performance without data protection or focused on data protection, where the performance will be lower. markrieder Posted January 16 Author Posted January 16 I imagine Hex aimed at beginners where you have to hold their hand every step of the way. 1 Quote
ubergeek Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Isn't that the point of HexOs ? Add drives and let the os create pools for you, so where the people that dont understand Truenas should be able to create a Nas without the need to learn the baseline OS ? Quote
