I paid for HexOs a while ago and was slowly gathering parts for it just to figure out you can't create a pool with 1 storage device thats upsetting to hear since I bought a 4tb hdd and don't want to buy more. Is this a issue to be resolved soon or do I need to bite the bullet and get another driver or I could always learn TrueNasScale

As on right now if you make a single drive pool using truenas ui as a workaround it breaks hexos.

The devs are very much aware we really want this feature and support will come eventually.

That explains why Hex is freaking out. I created a single drive pool for my NVR as I only have one surveillance drive currently.

why only a 1 drive pool, just curious

its for data that i wouldn't mind losing and not worth the cost of redundancy

I only have one surveillance drive for my NVR setup using Shinobi. I didn't want to mirror a non surveillance drive so I just did a single drive pool until I get another drive.
