On December 11th, 2024, the HexOS team rolled out the final wave of invites to all test customers who have purchased early access.  All customers can now access the Early Access and Support forums as well as download and install the beta.  On behalf of the entire team here at Eshtek, thank you all for your support and participation.  You guys are literally driving our passion for this project and we couldn't be happier with the customer reception.

Well, what are you waiting for?  Get started!!

NOTE:  As an FYI, when we opened the flood gates yesterday, there was a glitch that was preventing some customers from seeing the new forums and install instructions.  That has since been resolved.  If you still cannot access the download or are otherwise having difficulty, please let us know.

My assumption would be theres a lot of folks like me who bought 2 or more licences to have offsite backups ect. So the install counts will be low until V1 when it's stable enough to run mission critical services.

Or people like me who bought the lifetime license first and started scouring for hardware after. Big reason why I wasn't very active during the invite waves since I had nothing to install on yet (some of the way there now, tho).

I have a feeling we'll see a lot more systems turn on after the holidays.  The growth rate is actually pretty perfect for us right now.  Enough to get a good sample size and yet not too much to overwhelm our ability to manage and respond to issues.  I also think there is just a massive undercurrent of users that bought HexOS just to get in at the good price, with no real intention of deploying until we reach or get closer to 1.0.

Personally, I knew I wanted a NAS and had some spare parts lying around already, so I picked up a license during the sale and ordered the remaining parts afterwards. My system is built and running now, just doesn't have a permanent place in our home yet since I need to figure out how to connect it through ethernet.

I bought my license right after watching Linus's video. I'm currently in the middle of building something to install Hexos to and I also don't want to install the OS until I figure out the issues with my ISP with the network issue.

Same here, bought lifetime in the BF sale, and been buy parts piecemeal ever since. Still a month or two away from having everything to build.

I bought early access after Linus video and preparing to build the Main Machine. The plan is to buy 45HomeLab the 15 bay unit fully built with all hardware I need, get 3 hard drives for the start and add more as time passes will I have all 15 installed, also have PCI nvme card for M.2 to have at least 1TB of cache. This system is supposed to replace multiple machine and run all everything (Plex, Radarr, Sonarr, Lidarr, Tautuli, Adguard, Web Server, NPM (Nginx Proxy Manager), maybe Minecraft Server and more stuff), right now I have multiple machines doing all of this and I want to reduce all of it into a single machine with a ton of storage. I might install HexOs on some machine to play around.
