ulfn Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 So, anyone who is a bit more in-the-know than I am? This type of SSD would fit as OS drive inside my little mini PC/NAS intended for HexOS. I cannot see a model number or such, and I just don´t want to guess. I got this picture from their support , but when you get web pages in Chinese sent to you, it´s a bit difficult to decipher the information Quote
Dylan Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 I found this https://www.longsys.com/products/solid-state-drive/ Not in Chinese Quote
Mobius Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 wow what a weird little drive. It has a sata data port on it but no sata power port. I wonder if sata data carries a bit of power too? Quote
Starshock2002 Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Honestly that just looks like the inside of a lot of 2.5" sata ssds This is the inside of an old Samsung ssd 1 Quote
Dylan Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 I wonder why mine looks so different? 1 Quote

It seems to go under Industrial SSD:s on Longsys website. Will open the Mini one of these days to have a look., maybe there is one like this sitting there?! Since I gather it´s not always easy for anyone to get this type of industrial gadgets. I could maybe use something like GParted also to check, or get to the BIOS settings… Quote

I have recovered multiple old disks that failed do to bad sectors and other odd behavior. 1 Quote

Industry don´t need the polished outer shell 😉 Quote
