MHuijbregts Posted January 16, 2025 Posted January 16, 2025 (edited) Proton Drive for syncing data to their cloud storage Rclone, as an alternative for proton drive integration (as it seems to be included in that already) Edited January 16, 2025 by MHuijbregts

Figuring out how to do it manually took almost a full day of me learning docker and figuring out configurations but realistically should be super simple. I know it isn't an already existing app but it absolutely should be because SOCKS5 basically doesn't work anymore because every tracker out there blocks their IPs. Also all of the videos out there explaining how to do it are either garbage, super outdated, or assume extensive knowledge with docker. Would love a guide on doing this via truenas if you had time to put one together
Mr_Stig Posted February 1, 2025 Posted February 1, 2025 I bought this primarily so I could continue to advance my Plex library because I'm sick of things I like dissappearing and now you have to have 5+ streaming services. I'm REALLY pumped about the Immich support because I wanted a good picture backup solution. Tailscale support would be really excellent. Not sure if there's an existing app for this but a self-served password manager would be pretty nifty.

jeff405 Posted February 6, 2025 Posted February 6, 2025 I'd like Handbrake for importing directly to Plex, Home Assistant, and PiHole. 1
RazorzMcLazorz Posted February 27, 2025 Posted February 27, 2025 How hard would it be to connect something like grampsweb it can run on docker but i rather just host it locally and id like family to access it. Also im curious about doing Vintage Story as well
PixelBrain Posted March 26, 2025 Posted March 26, 2025 Now that Plex has decided to increase their costs and charge people for accessing their own data. I would like to see a jellyfin installer. 1
Peter Winther Posted March 31, 2025 Posted March 31, 2025 Email server Cloudflare Tailscale Jellyfin Bitwarden Immich qBittorrent Nextcloud Navidrome Radarr Sonarr
ZagatoZee Posted April 22, 2025 Posted April 22, 2025 I've only seen this one mentioned once in this thread, so I'm repeating it as an additional vote: Rustdesk server.
svenonite Posted April 22, 2025 Posted April 22, 2025 If Hex OS is touted as the accessible NAS platform, I think prioritizing services with broad appeal would make the most sense in order to attract more...everyday users; not just existing homelab users. Getting infrastructure setup for the following would be incredibly helpful and would probably help a large number of users. Audiobookshelf - Audiobook and ebook management. Calibre - ebook management. Plant-It - Plant maintenance and care reminders. Home Assistant - home automation. mealie.io - Recipe management. Jellyfin - FOSS Plex alternative. Actual Budget - personal finance management. Romm - Retro title management. Steam Headless - (This one is a stretch) a headless Steam streaming server.

Mascot Posted July 28, 2025 Posted July 28, 2025 I'd settle for the apps already supposedly supported to actually be supported. Thinking of Immich, which they claimed they would look into but I haven't noticed any updates on, and once the storage setup does go deprecated and prevents updating (or worse, breaks on an update) that'll be too late.

Would love Resilio Sync too, to replace/complement Dropbox/OneDrive/etc support. And of course, to go with Plex, all the *arr" collection I've managed to install Resilio, using Dockge and this recipe https://hub.docker.com/r/resilio/sync/ Not sure how i managed to do this, but it seems to be working
SILENCEuk Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 I'm still getting my parts together but I need PIA JELLYFIN For when I'm set to go
Todd Miller Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 I think Jellyfin has been already acknowledged as in the next group. However, I can't seem to find the forum post that actually says that. All I can find is the references to the original forum. post. Do we have something more concrete as to what is next and if reworking Imich will be include?
Aaron C Posted August 31, 2025 Posted August 31, 2025 The below in simple installs is what I'd be after please: Frigate Scrypted Home Assistant File Browser
