Jaxorb Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 I'm looking to have SSD storage for a centralised game library install to access with my PC, but wanting HDD for cheaper volume on the media side which wouldn't require such high read/write. Is it relatively straightforward to assign SSD's to their own RAID pool and utilise this for game install paths, and then for my media library, restrict these to only the HDDs setup in a separate raid, within the same machine/housing? I am aware of the equalisation of storage costs when comparing HDD to SSD, so it might be more time effective to just go full SSD because the savings aren't as intense. Thanks in advance Quote
Syko Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Yes you can have 2Β Pool's runningΒ π Just setup your 1st pool, say the SSD's , get it sorted to where your happy with it , then add the HDD's and create the 2nd Pool and get that up and running.. π 1 1 Quote
