jonp Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Some users are reporting that attempting to toggle dark mode isn't working for them. If you're using the controls in the top right of the forums, try using the theme switcher in the bottom left. We will address this in an update in the future. 1 6 Quote
Ray Pires Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Nice invision community customization, but discourse is loaded with more features, free and open source (security concerns). One suggestion to consider it. Quote
jonp Posted November 29, 2024 Author Posted November 29, 2024 Thanks. Invision was chosen simply because its a platform we were already familiar with from our previous endeavors. I do like discourse a lot and given some of the other changes Invision has been making, we may consider switching at some point. 1 Quote
Sparkrdom Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 I feel like this is a good time to mention https://darkreader.org/ as a good solution to most websites. 1 Quote

theFazZproject Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Search "Auto Dark" within brave://flags (or Chrome if you still use Googley) and enable the option you find best for your setup: darkreader.org // chromewebstore.google.com/detail/dark-reader/eimadpbcbfnmbkopoojfekhnkhdbieeh works great to reverse the enforced 'Auto Dark Mode' on certain websites that do not work well or fully in Dark Mode, For example docs.google.com and coinmarketcap.com either do not fully go dark or just look off, so enforcing them with Dark Reader works perfectly 😼 Quote
Makani Kai Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 (edited) Is there a way to get the dark/light toggle to auto match my system theme? A lot of websites can do that by using CSS media feature "prefers-color-scheme" Edited December 4, 2024 by Makani Kai Quote
Infigo Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Ahhh good thing I found this thread. Take me back into the light. My eyes got so tired in the darkmode. It is too dark outside, need some light in my life lol. Quote
Zer0Log1c Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 I'm a bit late to the party here, but from my experience, the Light > Dark toggle worked every time whereas the Dark > Light toggle seemed to be a bit bugged.... I thought it was just the page trying to save users from themselves lol Quote
flat4vw Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 Hallelujah my eyes get relief from this dark mode Quote
