Hexos promises remote access from anywhere. I wonder how they intend to achieve this. Maybe they integrate their own vpn with automatic port allocation for other apps or maybe they play around with a reverse proxy. HexOS is an extension of TrueNAS and it does not support different disk sizes. Always refers to the smallest disk used. Modifications would have to be made to the TrueNAS source code and thus the collaboration would not be able to continue for further updates.

Hi, I tried HexOS and there is a lot to improve. This is a classic TrueNAS and the HexOS GUI is accessed through deck.hexos.com. You always get to TrueNAS via the default IP and that's a headache again. I want to get directly to HexOS from ip and be able to switch the gui to TrueNAS in it if I want to. Another time, the first installation ended unsuccessfully because I did not have the disks installed. I didn't get through the HexOS initial setup without the discs. After restarting HexOS, it failed to reconnect with TrueNAS.
