This may or may not help at all, but I had issues with connting to my server until I went into my router and reserved the IP that my server is using, If youdl did not do this right away and your router decided to give you a new IP then well your gonna have to set it up as a new server unless you know the IP you first used and manually assign it back to that server under the TrueNAS side. I also had an issue with network bridging when setting it up on the hexos side it will give out a new IP even if you have your router setup to only use a certain IP, so again you will have to go into the truenas side and manually assign the correct IP to that bridge, hopefully this will help someone, idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it might be something else all together but I'm kinda shooting in the wind with what little info that was provided.

Your fine, thank you, but I wonder if changing the above to Static would of changed anything, prior to setting up a bridge, might have to try that next time I re-install hexos 🤣

thank you for the suggestion I already tried this and it would still not change to the new IP... I always go into my router and make sure the IP is set to not change for the mac address listed, but the mac also changes when you bridge it so I went in and changed it again and updated it with the new mac address but it would still not register with the correct IP. if you saying to change it with hexos I would not be able to. but I might of been able to do it on the truenas side. but yeah, ether way this should be something more streamlined for consumers lol. its solved now but this is more of a heads up that this will def need some TLC and fixed... otherwise I could see consumers getting annoyed.

I am not sure if this was posted or not, but this is would be a problem to anyone looking to easily setup a network bridge on HexOS. Okay so when clicking the network bridge button I notice it does make a bridge but the IP will change after you do so, and you will need to disconnect and re-connect your server, a recommendation I have to fix this would be to force the re-use of the IP that was being used prior to making a network bridge. I can add my hardware again if need be.

how will HexOS receive updates will we need to reinstall until its out of beta or will it start prompting us to update it via the cloud dashboard?

do you plan to add an easy VM support to HexOS or will we have go through TrueNas portal to install VMs, and will installing a VM through the Truenas portal break things down the line?
