  1. This may be a dumb question, but if I install a Linux OS that is compatible with the network card on my boot drive (yes, I know, wiping HexOS), and install the drivers using that, then switch back to HexOS (wiping the previous Linux install), would that work to update the kernel?
  2. I would second this, I have 2 GPUs installed, one for Plex transcoding (a 3050 powered by PCIe slot) and a 4070 Super for use in a VM when I get around to setting it up so that I can do some light video editing. I also have a 10G network card installed, but I'm having issues installing the drivers for it because it's an Aquantia card so it would be nice to have the ability to update drivers in HexOS or see if there needs to be a driver update.
  3. Your post was hilarious, I see you have attempted all reasonable responses including sacrifices to the gods (may Hephaestus hear your plea). Posting this so I get an answer if you do.
  4. The reason is because each license must be tied to one server only, so if you want to make 2 HexOS servers, (1 primary, 1 offsite backup for example), then you need 2 licenses minimum.
  5. I have a home server I'm building out now and plan to build an offsite server to backup to late next year so I've bought two licenses because I've spent hours this morning reviewing the software I want for my NAS (currently fighting with TrueNAS Scale on setup) and I decided to bite the bullet now with the 30 day refund window. One thing I'm curious about that I haven't seen talked about by others yet is VPN compatibility, as in making your own little VPN setup with Tailscale. Are there plans to ensure compatibility with VPN useage and access in the future?
