  1. I'd estimate 1TB a machine. a couple of the computers are nothing, like 300GB - 500GB, While my machine almost 1.5TB, and another windows machine at 1TB. So again, rough average 1TB per machine. For 5 Machines, - If I devote 8-10TB of backup storage, I think that could work.
  2. ^ That's Awesome - The Time Machine Setup looks really easy to setup. For Windows, For files, right now my production setup is saving everything to OneDrive and backup through them. I'm not making the jump yet (HexOS being in BETA and all) as everything is in OneDrive Cloud for now. But, there's the random Downloads folders on all the computers, the temp files for notes and Adobe Projects, etc. I'm thinking of dumping system restore points, snapshots and whatnot. (essentially TimeMachine) - I don't know yet, I'm scoping this out. These are things that are specific to each machine, having a full system backup might be the way here. That way, I can roll back the machine if I need. We have 3 Windows Machines and 2 Macs in the house, So, having a monthly backup of the whole computer might be the goal.
  3. Hey All, I'm new to the world of Home Servers. This has got me started. I've done the obligatory Plex Server setup. So - WINNING! But now, I want to start looking at computer backups to the NAS. I have Windows and Mac in my house so I'm looking for the best place to start to get something configured. I'm assuming that this will be a TrueNas App or some sort of container to house the drive partitioning. Anyone able to point me where to start? - Waldo
