So, when I connected the Pocket NAS for this Dr.Parted live session, I noticed the outer part of the power button was missing. I had a little plastic ”thingy” I could use to get it going anyway. After I was done with this I contacted Jessica Fang at ipc.net support about my problem. We agreed about them sending me a replacement, and an extra spare one, and that I pay for shipping. That’s only fair I think. I couldn’t honestly say I did nothing to cause this problem, since I never noticed it falling off. The most economical shipping was $6 and that I paid through PayPal.

I hate to be the on to reply only to say "same issue" but If anyone has a solution it'd be greatly appreciated.

Do you have to do anything for encryption certificates for immich through this cloudflare approach? I was able to enable Plex this way, but immich is still giving me trouble -- as I understand, it doesn't like being accessed via https I'm only just getting into the self hosted game and without much experience I worry about exposing the local network to the internet

same issue with jellyseerr while installing in truenas... i just restarted the server and now it seems to be working... there also says that truenas update is avaliable... should i update it or should i not... for hexos and stuff...

I use HexOs as local storage and as backup target. I am looking forward to the buddy backup option. on my wishlist is an Active Backup (Microsoft 365) clone. That’s the reason I still have my Synology NAS up and running

hi everyone i had the same issue as fcklagged at the start where i click on install on plex in hexos the wheel is spinning and after appr. 30s the install button reappears. The folders (media, movies,...) are were created, but the app isn't running. so i tried to manually install it on TrueNAS but i seem to be getting this error below when i install [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/mnt/.ix-apps/truenas_catalog/trains/stable/plex/1.1.19' any solutions please

Right now there is no concrete eta however you can checkout the hexos blog for an up to date roadmap on what to expect going forward As for what i'm using my server for It is 90% jellyfin server 5% storage for the family bc apple is allergic to giving fair upgrade costs. 5% tinkering

Hi, please tell us what you plan to use HexOS for. This is an important question so that Hex knows what direction to take and what audience it is developing the OS for.

Have you had a look at your processor usage? I’ve had similar issues on other systems in the past which was caused by the processor usage spiking and not being able to decode quick enough

Server: i5-12400/A310/HexOS/64GB ram 3200mhz/m.2 boot/HDD main storage/wired gigabit up-down Player: Win 10 pc/firefox using internal IP/wired gigabit up-down I have plex pass I upgraded my server yesterday and while trying to watch a movie it keeps lagging (Both end wired on same network) anyone know why? My player is is using a 1440p monitor, trying to play plex at 4k and 1080p high both lags randomly. Will play fine a few minutes then skip/freeze for a sec or two if you need any more info pls lmk, thanks

For those who might wonder about the external fan on the Pocket NAS, here’s a picture for you. On the ipc.net site where I got it, they say it’s optional, but I got one with my delivery. I don’t know if that was a temporary offer, though. I intend to begin with no external fan attached, relying on the internal fan for temperature control. Only if necessary I would use the extra fan, For a cleaner look, if nothing else.

nothing actually. I tried to install an app via Truenas, which worked. Tried it in hexos again. Didnt work. Then it randomly worked

So i created my pool in hexos, not true nas. And it randomly started to work for me as well. Cant reproduce ist. Couldnt finde an obvious place for logs either. Random

TailScale does work differently from most other VPNs, it uses the WireGuard stack that it seems you're used to. If you can install executables on your work PC usually I'd say it's likely it would work, but more likely not to if WireGuard didn't.

No I booted the server up, then tried installing before realizing I needed other than the boot HDD to install apps, then I got new HDDs the other day and tried installing but still won't

So, reality gave me a moment to verify my drives. A live session of GParted gave this result. All drives are ready for action. My four NVMe drives are there, sda is the SSD chip I installed a couple of days ago, and sdb is the USB stick with GParted. Hooray 😀
