AleiCat Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 What's your brew this fine morning/day/afternoon/evening/night? I've been switching between these two from Adagio. Quote
Makani Kai Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 I love Earl Gray whenever I have the option. Loose leaf of course is best but I’m pretty lazy so I usually go with tea bags from Bigelow (also I’m out of loose leaf! Open to recommendations) Quote
AleiCat Posted December 4, 2024 Author Posted December 4, 2024 I'd go to adagio.com. Best teas I've ever had. Fandom blends can be pretty good, and cover a lot of franchises (like the Rurouni Kenshin tea pictured). Their regular teas are great, too. Black teas and oolongs are my favorites, but they also have green teas, matchas, white teas, herbal teas, and more. They also have sister brands for coffees, spices, and honeys that I can recall. They sell loose leaf, bagged teas, empty bags for use with loose leaf, strainers, and more. (Some products are out of stock a lot, sadly.) As for Earl Grey, I strongly recommend holding off 'til the day of the full moon and ordering their Earl Grey Bella Luna. I don't think you'll regret it if you love Earl Grey. Quote

Makani Kai Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 I’m rarely having tea or coffee. I’m a Coke Zero sorta person. But it’s probably not good for me Quote
AleiCat Posted December 5, 2024 Author Posted December 5, 2024 It's really not, lol. Soda in general is just awful on the GI tract, energy, mental health, diabetes prevention -- you name it, soda probably hurts it. Unless it's a bad thing. Then soda tends to help it. I used to drink nothing but bean water and eat nothing but ramen. After narrowly avoiding kidney shutdown, dialysis, and possibly even death in my mid-30s, I started eating healthier (not as healthy as I should, but hey, baby steps) and switched to drinking almost nothing but water with the occasional tea. It seems, though, that right now, at this very moment, my biggest issue is... sleep deprivation exacerbated by dozing/short naps that just don't do anything to catch me up on my need to slumber. Well, in that case, bring on the caffeine. Bring on the tea. >ω< Quote
ThijssjihT Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 I drink the same tea for a longer period, maybe a few weeks, then switching, but always rotating back. Green, black, rooibos, camomile. Always good quality. I use loose tea, just to be sure, but I can't see why good tea can't come pre-bagged. But to add something interesting, for the rare moment I like my tea to punch me in the face in a figuratively way of speaking: I have a japanese black tea, smoked with used whisky barrels. At the wrong time, it only tastes of smoke. But at the right time, it is an amazing and complicated mix of different black tea aromas with a powerfull smokiness that is just not too heavy. It is amazing, but it is a difficult tea for rare moments. Quote

ulfn Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 (edited) I buy 1 kg of pure teas, not flavored with strawberry and what have you. And I shift every time, since you’re drinking the same tea for a long tome anyway. Coffee at home means about half the cup with milk, put to boil in the microwave oven, and the rest with boiling water. Add two tablespoons of freeze dried coffee. And sugar.
