agame7 Posted yesterday at 03:07 AM Posted yesterday at 03:07 AM After many head bangs on my desk trying to break this thing into working I eventually got it to work I have a single 500GB usable drive (I have more drives on the way) and had to go into trueNas Ui to create a pool I had an rx580 in it but it decided to throw a fit and turn its fans to 100% randomly while not under load (happens a while after boot restart fixes for a few minutes, Any solutions please help) The Pringles can is very essential for cooling My router is for local but I am failing to set up a VPN tunnel via Cloudflared or Wireguard (also please help!!) Overall I love it and I'm hoping to make it better one part at a time Quote
reagan Posted yesterday at 03:43 AM Posted yesterday at 03:43 AM I highly reccomend using tailscale its so much simpler imo. You just set it up on your phone or whatever, get the auth key. Install it via TrueNAS in HexOS, and input that auth key. and youre good. any questions lmk 1 Quote
Jeffd24 Posted yesterday at 04:00 AM Posted yesterday at 04:00 AM Nice! I'm in the same situation, I didn't read the details about pool requirements. So I've got a pool with one 4TB drive so I can play around with it. More Hdd's are on the way soon though. Very nice to setup and once I get raid setup correctly it's going to be awesome. 1 Quote
