Zulnoth Posted yesterday at 12:00 AM Posted yesterday at 12:00 AM Hi there, Pretty new to this sort of setup, currently have a Synology ds920+ and eventually looking to vacate this chassis and migrate to a hexos setup. I note in the requirements that it stipulates "similarly sized drives" - is this just for in the same VDEV? Is it true that I could set up multiple VDEVs without having similarly sized drives? Currently I have 4*8tb drives, would like to increase total capacity but would prefer not to buy more 8tb drives as these are less efficient to purchase these days in a $/gb perspective. I'd consider something like 4*16tb drives, just wondering if I'm able to run them both side by side in HexOS as a second virtual device? Thanks in advance, Quote
