Bumblebee Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Just checking on prerequisites if I’m trying to get it running on my old laptop. any recommendations?
ysuissa Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 i don't think you should expect native support for advanced battery management (like windows has), deep sleep states etc, so i wouldn't use this as an actual laptop if you're only speaking about using this as a "always connected PC that happens to have a screen and a battery attached to it", then yeah sure. your only problem would be connecting the HDDs to your laptop, but that can be solved with a m.2 to sata adapter from AliExpress or something 1
Bumblebee Posted December 7, 2024 Author Posted December 7, 2024 Good to know. I have an old laptop lying around and was hoping to repurpose is some way 1
arvinpw Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 If your laptop have 2 or more storage slot, plus 1 boot drive on top of that, by all mean, go for it. 1

MadCreeper Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 The amount of storage will be limited, but in theory nothing would prevent it from working, except maybe wifi? From the hardware standpoint it is best to use ethernet, and remove the battery and just leave it plugged in if you can. 1
Bumblebee Posted December 20, 2024 Author Posted December 20, 2024 Thanks to all. This has been helpful
