Frappo Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 I'm planning to use HexOS on different hardware, scaling if needed. My friend wants to repurpose his old laptop with an i3-5005u and a single drive, and use it as a simple photo and video backup to replace icloud (i wonder how many features could you run on a limited hardware). while I'll be running my istance in a Proxmox VM, passing maybe a cheap and low power gpu for transcoding, like the intel uhd 630 or the tesla p4 if more power is needed on something like machine learning. I've also recently bought a sinology ds218play and I'm looking forward on compatibility. Quote
marvin.the.robot Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 If the hardware can run proxmox you shouldn't have a problem. More info in this thread if needed: https://hub.hexos.com/topic/765-hardware-storage-requirementscompatibility-faq/ Quote
