I'm planning to use HexOS on different hardware, scaling if needed. My friend wants to repurpose his old laptop with an i3-5005u and a single drive, and use it as a simple photo and video backup to replace icloud (i wonder how many features could you run on a limited hardware). while I'll be running my istance in a Proxmox VM, passing maybe a cheap and low power gpu for transcoding, like the intel uhd 630 or the tesla p4 if more power is needed on something like machine learning. I've also recently bought a sinology ds218play and I'm looking forward on compatibility.

just a comment: I've learned that sinology does not permit 3rd party os, but other NAS do, but usually old PCs or NAS that you want to repurpose don't reach the 8gb of RAM stated in the HexOS requirements, also rarely you can install a second hdd in old laptops, so I'm starting to wonder if the requirements are so high who's this product really for.
